Using a modified
pen grasp, rest the
handpiece in the
V-shaped area of
your hand, between
the index fingers and
thumb.
Stabilize the handpiece
with a fulcrum or finger
rest.
Periodically evaluate
your grasp to ensure
correct balance and a
light grasp to support
optimal use of the
intuitive Smartmode
technology.
Position the handpiece
so the cup is adapted to
the facial surface of the
most posterior tooth
you are polishing.

To initiate cup rotation,
gently press the cup
against the tooth
surface so there is slight
flaring of the cup.
Polish using light,
intermittent pressure,
gliding the cup across
the tooth without lifting
the cup from the tooth
surface.
Remove excess paste
or saliva buildup on
the cup with the saliva
ejector.
