9.3 Place the cordless handpiece inner module on the
charging base, aligning the charging contacts on each.
9.4 Refer to the figure and table below to determine the
cordless handpiece's degree of charge.

9.5 Sleep Mode (if cordless handpiece is not in a powered charging base)
a. After 1 minute of non-use, the cordless handpiece will enter a Sleep Mode and the charge indicators and mode
indicator will turn off. Upon picking up the handpiece within 1 hour, the Mode Indicator and charge indicators will
illuminate and the unit will enter Standby Mode.
b. After 1 hour of inactivity, the cordless handpiece will turn off to conserve battery charge. After this, the On/OFF/
Mode Button will need to be pressed to bring the handpiece into Standby Mode.

10. Powering and Charging the Optional Wireless Foot Pedal

The optional wireless foot pedal should be charged for at least 2.5 hours prior to first use. The optional wireless foot
pedal should then be recharged every month.
Use only the Nupro Freedom® Cordless Prophy System Power Supply and cord. Failure to do so could cause your
system to malfunction and void your warranty.
10.1 If plugged in using the Nupro Freedom Power Supply,
the optional wireless foot pedal may be synchronized
with the cordless handpiece and depressed to control
the DPA speed. If receiving power from the Nupro
Freedom Power Supply, the Charge indicator on the
top of the optional wireless foot pedal will illuminate
according to the charge level per the table below:

10.2 If the foot pedal is tapped without the power supply
connected, a solid Orange indicator light that stays lit
for 1 second indicates that <30% charge is remaining.
10.3 Note that the optional wireless foot pedal will not
charge unless it is ON.

10.4 To determine if the optional wireless foot pedal is ON,
press down the foot pedal without it connected to
the Nupro Freedom Power Supply. If it is ON, the foot
pedal's charge indicator light will turn Green for a
second (if the indicator turns Orange the foot pedal's
charge is less than 30%). If there is no light when the
foot pedal is depressed, the foot pedal is OFF.
10.5 If the optional wireless foot pedal is not turned ON,
invert the optional wireless foot pedal and Press the
POWER button for 1 second. Then test as in 10.3
above to confirm that the foot pedal is ON.
