1.4. Who the manual is intended for

This manual constitutes an essential guide for all those persons who use the machine or
are involved in its maintenance. Relevant job profiles are given below:
User:
Person, body or company that has purchased or rented the machine and intends to use
it for the purposes for which it was designed is responsible for the machine and proper
training of those involved in its use.
Operator:
Person trained to use the machine.
Person able to use the machine using the relevant controls; only allowed to carry out
simple adjustments. Is not authorised to carry out maintenance on the electrical or
mechanical parts of the machine.
Mechanical maintenance technician:
Specialised technician able to carry out work on mechanical parts / transmission system
so that the necessary maintenance and repair tasks can be completed. Is not authorised
to carry out maintenance on electrical parts of the machine.
Electrical maintenance technician:
Specialised technician able to carry out work inside electrical panels or junction boxes
when power is on. Is not authorised to carry out maintenance on mechanical parts of
the machine.

1.5. Proper and improper use of the machine

The machine is exclusively designed for olive vibration harvesting.
Intended for professional use. Operators must be of proven aptitude and be able to read
and understand the entire contents of this manual. The machine must be used in
observance of the accident prevention standards in force, bearing in mind working
conditions and the characteristics of the machine itself.
DANGER:
Never use the machine in places with an explosive atmosphere!
1.6. Protective covers and safety devices
The machine features safety devices aimed to protect the operator from all the moving
parts of the machine itself.
Protective covers: Fixed devices that prevent direct contact with moving or dangerous
machine parts. The cover can only be removed with the special tools.
When the machine is working the safety cover must be correctly fitted.
Electrical cut-out device: Allows immediate shutdown of all machine functions in the
event of a fault. When this device trips the emergency machine shutdown is triggered.
Before the machine can be restarted the device that triggered the stop must be reset
(fuse).
