After the measuring tool is switched on, the volume is always set to low and the measur-
ing accuracy set to "rough".
To switch off the measuring tool, press the on/off button (2) again. Before the tool
switches off, all the LEDs will light up briefly.
If no button on the measuring tool is pressed for approx. 20 minutes and no laser beam
reaches the reception area (10) for 20 minutes, the measuring tool will automatically
switch itself off to preserve battery life. Switch-off is indicated by all the LEDs lighting up
briefly.
Adjusting the Centre Indicator
You can use the button for adjusting the measuring accuracy (1) to specify the accuracy
with which the position of the laser beam is indicated as "centred" on the reception area:
– Measuring accuracy "precise" (indicator (g) on the display),
– Measuring accuracy "rough" (indicator (f) on the display).
Direction Indicators
The position of the laser beam in the reception area (10) is indicated as follows:
– By the direction indicators "move downwards" (d), "move upwards" (b) or centre (c)
on the display (4) on the front and back of the measuring tool,
– By the LEDs "move downwards" (6), "move upwards" (9) or centre (7) on the front of
the measuring tool,
– By the tool beeping (if this function is switched on).
Measuring tool too low: If the laser beam runs through the top half of the reception
area (10), the direction indicator (b) on the display and the corresponding LED (9) will
light up.
If the beep function is switched on, the tool will emit a slow beeping sound.
Move the measuring tool upwards in the direction of the arrow.
Measuring tool too high: If the laser beam runs through the bottom half of the reception
area (10), the direction indicator (d) on the display and the corresponding LED (6) will
light up.
If the beep function is switched on, the tool will emit a fast beeping sound.
Move the measuring tool downwards in the direction of the arrow.
Measuring tool centred: If the laser beam runs through the reception area (10) at the
height of the centre mark (8), then the centre indicator (c) and the corresponding centre
LED (7) will light up.
If the audio signal is switched on, a continuous tone sounds.
