amphoteric and a biguamide (refer to manufacturer's

with any standard required by the national
regulations.
Wipe dry using a disposable clean non-woven cloth until
there are no traces of liquid.
Packaging: Keep sterilizable accessories in single-use
sterilization sleeves or bags in compliance with the
specifications defined in standard EN ISO 11607-1 or in
any equivalent standard required by the national
regulations.
Sterilize the light guide and the flexible optical shield
individually in an autoclave before each patient,
according to the following parameters:
- autoclave, compliant with standard EN 13060, class B
- sterilization temperature: 134 °C
- duration of the sterilization hold time: 18 minutes
- Pressure: 2 bars
Storage: Then, store the sterilized products in a dry
place protected from dust.
Before re-use, if the integrity of the packaging is not
conformable, recondition and re-sterilize in accordance
with the defined protocol.
Disposition of the product: Dispose of the product in
receptacles for waste materials of healthcare activities
involving infectious risks.
2) Before cleaning the handpiece, insert the
protective cap in place of the light guide to
prevent any liquid entering the handpiece.
3) After each use, check thoroughly that no composite
residue has adhered to the light guide. Remove any
residue immediately and check that the surface of
the light guide has not been altered. If damage is
detected, replace the light guide, as the power of the
curing light could be reduced significantly.
4) Under normal conditions of use, the power of the
curing light does not vary if the battery is properly
charged. Consequently there is no need to check the
power as in the case of ordinary curing lights.
However, if in doubt, check the power using the light
guide.
5) The battery unscrews from the handpiece for
replacement.
6) Remove the light guide to check that the LED is clean
and undamaged. Clean it with a dry air jet if
necessary.
7) Never use an ultrasound bath for cleaning the M
L.E.D. or its accessories.
4) The battery is located at the end of the handpiece. It
can be removed by unscrewing.
5) The LED (located at the end of the handpiece) against
which the light guide is fitted should regularly be
checked for cleanness. If necessary, use a jet of
perfectly dry air to clean it.
6) The light guide is not chemiclave safe. The conditions
and sterilization cycles are according to the
autoclave instructions. Steam sterilization: 134°C at
2 bars (200kPa) for 18min.
7) Disposal of the equipment and its accessories should
be carried out by a collection centre for electronic
equipment or by returning them to SATELEC's After
Sales Service. In no case should the device and its
accessories be disposed of by the user.
8 - TROUBLESHOOTING
If a problem appears, before calling your dealer's after
sales service:
1) Check that the base station is connected properly to
the mains to ensure that the battery recharges
normally. If the LED is not lit up in spite of proper
connection, contact the after sales service.
2) Check that the battery indicator shows that it is fully
charged before pressing the On/Off button. If the LED
is red, an automatic safety mechanism will stop the
device from being activated. In this case, recharge
your battery by replacing the handpiece on the base
station, or just replace with a second fully charged
battery.
3) Intensive use of the lamp will generally cause a rise
in its external temperature that can be felt by the
hand holding it. This is absolutely normal. If the
temperature inside the M
high, an automatic safety mechanism will stop the
lamp, and the status indicator will flash red. Leave
the device for a few minutes to cool down and then
carry on as normal.
4) If the wattmeter control LED is red, check that the
LED and the light guide are clean. Use a jet of dry air
to remove any dust. If the problem persists or if the
7
L.E.D. should rise too
