18) For use only by dental professionals.
19) When you need to transport the unit, unscrew the
battery and protect the light guide against impacts.
20) For long-term storage we recommend that you
remove the battery from the unit body so that it
does not discharge slowly and risk damage.
21) When your unit reaches the end of its life, we
recommend that you contact your dental equipment
dealer or, failing this, one of the ACTEON sites
(listed at the end of this manual) to find out what
procedure is advised.

2 - PRESENTATION

The M
L.E.D. produces a visible blue light between a
INI
wavelength of 420 and 480nm for the photo-
polymerization of dental materials. After checking the
packaging for damage (please retain the packaging), you
will find the following:
- the handpiece, fitted with a protective cap,
incorporating the light-emitting diode,
- the base station for recharging the unit, with a built-
in radiometer,
- the power adapter,
- the lithium ion battery,
- the multifibre light guide, 45° curvature, Ø7.5mm,
sterilizable,
- the protective light shield,
- the Operating Manual and other documents.
Available options:
- a multifibre light guide, opalescent, curvature 45°,
Ø5.5mm, sterilizable
3 - INSTALLATION
1- Prior to each use, sterilize the light guide and
disinfect both base station and handpiece (see also
the chapter on care).
2- Screw the battery onto the handpiece, insert the
sterilized light guide into the handpiece. Ensure that
the light guide is inserted correctly (the friction
contact makes a click).
3- Place the base station on a stable surface. Plug in the
mains adapter and ensure that the plug is suitable for
the voltage of your power supply. The green light will
flash twice.
4- Place the handpiece on its base station (there will be
an audible beep each time the lamp is put in the
base) and leave it to charge for at least 2 hours 30
minutes, to make sure that the battery is fully
charged.
5- The green light starts to flash indicating that the
battery is being charged. As soon as the battery is
fully charged, the light stops flashing and stays lit.
