Maintenance
Check the parts and screw fixings of the
wheelchair at regular intervals. If any screws
have come loose, they must be tightened
in order to avoid safety risks. Moving parts
should be treated weekly with lubricating oil
in order to guarantee their functionality.
Use a soft dry cloth to clean the frame of
the wheelchair after use in order to prevent
rusting.
Keep the cushion and the backrest clean in
order to avoid a skin infection. If the wheel-
chair is not in use, it should be put in a dry
well-ventilated location.
Please observe current regulations when
disposing of the packaging material from the
wheelchair.

Drum brake – accompanying person
The drum brake is activated by the accom-
panying person using the brake lever on the
handle. The accompanying person can finely
regulate the brakes in order to ensure safe
travel.
Function as a service brake: Lightly and
evenly apply both brakes, and the wheel-
chair will gently slow down.
Function as parking brake: To secure the
wheelchair against unwanted rolling away,
evenly apply both brakes. With a finger,
press the safety catch on the brake lever
until this locks into place and fixes the brake
lever. Then release both brake levers and
check whether the bolt mechanism is locked
and the wheelchair is secured. The wheel-
chair must not be pushed when the brakes
are locked. To release the drum brake, pull
on the brake lever until the safety catch
automatically pops out of the locked posi-
tion. Please release both brake levers. The
parking brakes are now released and the
wheelchair is ready to move again.
Notice
If the parking brake displays insufficient
braking power, the brake must be adjusted
in a professional workshop.
