2-3. Single UPS Installation

Installation and wiring must be performed in accordance with the local electric laws/regulations and execute
the following instructions by professional personnel.
1) Make sure the mains wire and breakers in the building are in compliance with the standard of rated
capacity of UPS to avoid the hazards of electric shock or fire.
NOTE: Do not use the wall receptacle as the input power source for the UPS, as its rated current is less than
the UPS's maximum input current. Otherwise the receptacle may be burned and destroyed.
2) Switch off the mains switch in the building before installation.
3) Turn off all the devices that need to be connected before connecting them to the UPS.
4) Prepare wires based on the following table:
Model
E4 LCD 5K / 6K
E4 LCD 5K S / 6K S
E4 LCD 8K / 10K
E4 LCD 8K S / 10K S
NOTE 1: The cable for 5000 (S) & 6000 (S) should be able to withstand a current of over 50A. Using
at least 6mm² or 10AWG-thick wire is recommended for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 2: The cable for 8000 (S) & 10K (S) should be able to withstand a current of over 63A. Using
8AWG-thick wires is recommended for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 3: Cables are "flexibe cable" H07RNF types.
NOTE 4: Use short O terminal ø M5.
NOTE 5: Wire colors should be selected in accordance with local electricity laws and regulations.
5) Remove the terminal block cover from the rear panel of the UPS. Then connect the wires according to
the following terminal block diagrams: (Connect the ground wire first when connecting the wires. Disconnect
the ground wire last when disconnecting wires!)
