BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Open the battery case by sliding off the cover on the back of the device.

Remove the used battery.

Replace with a lithium 3 V CR2032 battery. The larger part of the battery
should be facing up. You should still be able to see the «+» sign when
battery is installed.

Slide the cover back on and tighten the screw with a screwdriver.
The device is ready for use.
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the applicable legal regula-
tions. Never dispose of batteries in the normal household waste.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE AND PROCEDURE

Bear in mind to keep the thermometer with the patient in the same room where
the measurement is to be taken for at least 30 minutes before use.
MEASURING BODY TEMPERATURE IN THE EAR
ATTENTION
• Some people produce different readings in their left and right ear. In order
to record temperature changes, always measure a person's temperature
in the same ear.
• The measurement must not be taken in an ear affected by inflammatory
diseases, after possible ear injuries or during the warm-up period. In all
of these cases, please consult your doctor.
• If you have been lying on one ear for some time, the temperature is
slightly raised. Wait a little while or measure in the other ear.
