Operating manual - Particle counter PC200
Meaning
Particle data in a certain particle size channel.
Example:
The measuring device shows 100 particles in the
0.1 μm channel and 30 in the 0.2 μm channel.
The differential data is 100 particles
> 0.1 μm and < 0.2 μm, and 30 particles
> 0.2 μm.
The wet-bulb temperature is the lowest temper-
ature below the current ambient conditions which
can be reached by the evaporation of water.
When measuring high concentrations of parti-
cles, it can occur that two particles are no close
to each other, that they are counted as one
(mostly larger) particle.
Absolute concentration of the various particle
sizes per litre of air.
Total particle data in all particle size channels
Example:
The measuring device shows 100 particles in the
0.1 μm channel and 30 in the 0.2 μm channel.
The cumulative data is 130 total particles
(100 + 30) > 0.1 μm.
The counting efficiency specifies the probability
at which a particle of the smallest detectable size
is detected and counted during the measure-
ment. For particles larger than the smallest
detectable size, the counting efficiency is 100 %.
