CHECKING THE LEVEL

It is recommended that you check your laser level
regularly by following these steps:
Choose two walls around 4-5m apart (fig. 3) to set
up your laser. You can use targets A and B.
Switch on the CPL100 series laser by pressing the
ON button once (level mode).
Point the laser beam at target A then mark this
point (A1) at the centre of the line.
Turn the CPL100 series laser 180° towards target
B, making sure that you do not change the height
of the device.
Point the laser beam at target B then mark this
point (B1) at the centre of the line.
Move the laser 15cm facing target B then mark
this point (B2) at the centre of the line.
Turn the CPL100 series laser 180° towards target
A, making sure that you do not change the height
of the device.
Point the laser beam at target A then mark this
point (A2) at the centre of the line.
Once you have completed these steps, you can now
measure the distances between marks A1 and A2, and
between marks B1 and B2.
If these measurements are the same, your laser is
properly calibrated. If there is a diference of more
than 3mm between the two measurements, the laser
is not properly calibrated and must be returned to the
reseller to be recalibrated in an approved after-sales
service centre.

CHECKING THE PLUMB

To check the plumb of the CPL100 series laser , follow
these steps:
Choose a door frame with around 2.5m of free
space on each side of the door (fig. 4).
Switch on the laser by pressing the ON button
twice (Plumb mode).
Point the laser at a specic point (call this point A),
then make two marks on the ground:
- the first mark 2.5m from point A, centred
above the door (call this point B).
- the second mark 5m from point A
(call this point C).
Without moving the laser, make a third mark on
the door frame (call this point D).
Move the laser towards point C, precisely aligning
the beam with point B.
Check whether the beam reaches point D. If the
space between the beam and point D is 1.6mm or
less, your laser is calibrated.
If the level and the plumb are properly calibrated, the
cross will also be properly calibrated.
