CHECKING THE LEVEL

It is recommended that you check your laser level
regularly by following these steps:
up your laser. Put the instrument approx. 15 cm
from the wall.
Switch on the laser by pressing the ON button
once (level mode).
Point the laser beam at target then mark this
point A at the centre of the line.
Turn the laser 180° towards the opposit wall,
making sure that you do not change the
heightof
the device.
Mark point B on that wall at the centre of the
line.
Move the laser 15cm facing this opposite wall.
The center of the line must be on point B.
Turn the laser 180° towards the wall with point
A, making sure that you do not change the height
of the device.
Mark point C in the centre of the l aser beam,
close to point A. Now you can measure the
distance between A and C.
The difference between A and C is the accuracy of
2X the distance between the walls.
Example: If the distance between the walls is 5 m and
the distance between A and C is 3mm, the accuracy is
3mm at 10m. If the accuracy is over 3mm on 10m the
laser is not properly calibrated and must be returned
to the reseller to be recalibrated in an approved
after-sales service centre.

CHECKING THE PLUMB

Fig. 3
To check the plumb of the laser , follow these steps:
Choose a door frame with around 2m of free
Switch on the laser by pressing the ON button
twice (All lines on).
Point the laser at a specific point (call this point A),
then make two marks on the ground:
above the door (call this point B).
- the second mark 4.9m from point A
(call this point D).
Without moving the laser, make a third mark on
the door frame (call this point C).
Move the laser towards point D, precisely aligning
the beam with point A and B.
Check whether the beam reaches point D. If the
space between the beam and point D is 1.2mm or
less, your laser is calibrated.
If the distance is bigger as 1.2mm the instrument must
be properly calibrated and must be returned to the re-
seller to be recalibrated in an approved after-sales
centre.
If the laser settings are incorrect, this
should be reported to your distributor
who will send your laser to an approved
centre to be checked.
