Examine the tubing for bends
that may cause an air flow

A flow alarm temporarily turns the pump off for 30 seconds plus the length of
one sample. A flow alarm becomes inactive when the pump turns off.

A count alarm becomes inactive when the next sample starts.
Sensor decontamination
1. Use a portable particle counter to confirm the particle count
measured by the instrument.
If the particle count is similar, the problem is caused by the process
and not the instrument.
2. If the particle count is lower, clean the internal components. Refer to
Clean the interior surfaces on page 13.
3. Do a purge to get a particle count of 0–1. Refer to
instrument on page 13.
4. If the particle count does not go to 0–1, contact technical support.
