Assembly
 Before any work on the machine itself (e. g. mainte-
nance, tool change, etc.), remove the battery from the
power tool. There is danger of injury when unintentionally
actuating the On/Off switch.

Battery Charging

 Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. Only
these chargers are matched to the lithium-ion battery of
your power tool.
Note: The battery supplied is partially charged. To ensure full
capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery in the
battery charger before using your power tool for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without re-
ducing its service life. Interrupting the charging procedure
does not damage the battery.
Selecting a Saw Blade
 Use only clean saw blades. Ensure that the SDS saw
blade holder is also free of chips and sawdust.
Use only saw blades suitable for the material being worked.
The saw blade should not be longer than required for the in-
tended cut.

ceptacle. Insert the saw blade as shown in the illustration. En-

recess of the SDS saw blade receptacle 12. Close the cover of
the SDS saw blade receptacle 9 and lock it using the locking
lever of the SDS saw blade receptacle 10 until it can be heard
to engage.
The chain of the saw blade is automatically tensioned.
If the chain slips through or becomes detached from the guide
unit, open and close the cover of the saw blade receptacle.
Removing the Saw Blade
Open the locking lever 10 and fold the cover of the SDS saw
blade receptacle 9 fully upward. Remove the saw blade.

Dust/Chip Extraction

 Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to
one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause
allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of
the user or bystanders.

Inserting/Replacing the Saw Blade (see figure B)
 When changing the saw blade, do not hold the tool with
one hand on or around the On/Off switch and lock off.
There is danger of injury when the On/Off switch is unin-
tentionally actuated.
 When mounting or changing the saw blade, wear pro-
tective gloves. Application tools are sharp and can be-
come hot when used for prolonged periods of time.
 Do not pull on the chain and do not pull the chain off the
guide unit!

Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered car-
cinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment
additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials con-
taining asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials to be worked.
 Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
easily ignite.
