Instruction Manual ATB-80, ATB-100, ATB-120
3.3 Installation
The installation of the pump should take place through our service
•
personnel or a recognised specialist. Incorrect installation can lead
to damage.
3.3.1 Installation site
Install the pump only at sites which are secure against rain and
•
snow! Infiltrating rain and snow can lead to faults and malfunctions.
Fundamentally, the pump must be installed above the water
•
table concerned. Installation below the water table, with the
switching off of the pump, leads to a siphon-like return flow of
the water, which leads to malfunctions.
The pump may not be installed in the immediate surroundings
•
of containers with flammable gases. Not only the pump can be
destroyed or materially impaired through possible explosions.
.
The pump should fundamentally be mounted at shady and well-
•
ventilated sites.
Heat radiation damages the diaphragms and valves.
Do not install the pump at locations which have high dust
•
concentrations.
The air filter is severely affected by excessive dust.
Through this a high power consumption results, which leads to
heavy build-up of heat in the pump.
This, in turn, damages the diaphragms and valves.
As far as possible the pump should be installed in a position which enables the
•
unhindered access of maintenance personnel.
