VIII. TIPS ON SAVING ENERGY
Make sure the appliance is not placed next to a heat source.
Place the appliance in dry, well-ventilated space which is not in direct
sunlight.
You are advised to wrap food before storing it in the freezer.
Hot food and liquids must first be left to cool to room temperature
before being put in the freezer.
Make sure you leave a space between products when you store
them in the freezer to ensure air circulation.
Opening the door for too long or too frequently can cause the
temperature to rise. The door must be closed immediately after use.
Make sure that the airtight seal on the door is positioned correctly
and that air vents are not blocked.
Never leave frozen food to defrost at room temperature. You can
defrost food slowly by placing it in the fridge. Take care not to defrost
food above other foodstuffs.
If ice becomes too thick, this can affect the performance of the
freezer. When the ice is more than 5mm thick, the appliance should
be defrosted.
Racks, shelves and compartments have already been laid out in the
optimal positions.
