Defrosting
To allow your appliance to work properly, you need to defrost it at least
once a year, or when the ice is more than 5mm thick.
You can also remove a layer of ice occasionally using the scraper.
NEVER USE METAL OBJECTS OR ELECTRIC APPLIANCES TO
DEFROST THE FREEZER.
To defrost
1. Choose a time when your freezer is not too full
2. Change the thermostat to the coldest position 24 hours beforehand
so that the frozen food will be as cold as possible.
3. Remove the food, wrap it up well and place it in a refrigerator or a
very cool place.
4. Unplug the freezer. Place a suitable container below the appliance
5. Scrape the ice with a plastic scraper
6. Rinse with clean water, dry carefully
7. Defrosting should be done as quickly as possible to stop frozen foods
from warming up, which will shorten their freezer life.
8. N.B.: If you unplug the freezer, wait 3-5 minutes before restarting.
The appliance may not work properly if it is restarted too quickly.
Warning:
Do not use boiling water to defrost the freezer as you risk damaging
the plastic parts.
Never use pointed or metal objects to remove the ice, you risk
damaging the refrigeration circuit and your guarantee will be
invalidated.
Do not splash water over the outside parts of the freezer, they are
fragile and touching the water can cause shocks.
Do not place any product with very strict temperature requirements
in the freezer (serums, vaccines, reagents, etc.) Do not put any
flammable product in the freezer. Benzene, liquid gas, alcohol,
binders, etc., are dangerous and can lead to an explosion.
Take care not to damage the refrigeration circuit of the appliance.
Do not use any electric device inside the food storage areas of the
appliance.
