3 HANDS, DATE, POWER
RESERVE, AUTOMATIC
Your SUB 4000T is
equipped with a Swiss
automatic movement
that draws energy from
the natural motion of
your wrist. It also has a
power reserve indicator
(Safe Dive Indicator). Like
a fuel gauge, it shows
how long your watch will
operate before it shuts
down unless "recharged"
(wound). It has a
screw-down crown
with a seal to ensure
water-tightness. You can
set the time and date
depending on the
crown's position (P).
P0: Secure Crown
In position P0, the crown
is tightly screwed down
against the case. Always
keep it that way to
effectively protect the
movement against water
or other foreign matter
ingress.
12
P1: Wind Manually
Unscrew the crown
from P0 by turning it
counterclockwise. When
completely unscrewed,
it will click out to P1 for
manual winding. Gently
give the crown a good
number of turns
clockwise until you feel
a slight resistance
(between 30 and 50 turns
– NEVER FORCE THE
CROWN). Your watch is
now sufficiently wound
to keep powered up
automatically
("self-winding") as long
as you wear it. When
sufficiently wound, the
power reserve indicator
on your SUB 4000T will
indicate "Full" (about
42 hours).
P2: Set Date
Starting from P1, gently
pull out the crown by one
stop to position P2. Turn it
clockwise to set the date.
For months with fewer
than 31 days, manually
advance the date to the
first of the next month.
P3: Set Time
Starting from P2, gently
pull the crown out one
more stop to P3
(outermost position).
Set the time by turning
the crown counterclock-
wise. To return to P0,
gently push the crown
back against the case
until you feel resistance.
While keeping pressure
on the crown, turn
clockwise (do not apply
excessive force) until it's
screwed down tight for
a perfect seal.
