A direct connection, via a solenoid valve, between the drin-
king water supply and the tub fl ushing system (nonpotable
water system) is not permissible according to DIN 1988,
Part 4. To guarantee that tub contents do not fl ow back into
the drinking water supply, a backsiphonage preventer, type
A2 (DN 15 or DN 20) should be installed! The backsipho-
nage preventer should be installed at least 150 mm above
the tub rim!
GB
We recommend using the specially designed „Hoesch
backsiphonage preventer for concealed in-wall installation"
(Art. No. 6962) DVGW approved.
Install behind the long side of the tub nearest the wall ac-
cording to the illustration on page 17. Connect to the
front tub fi ttings with standard fl exible VPE tubing if possi-
ble. When installing the backsiphonage preventer outside
the tub area, a funnel drain must be provided beneath the
plastic instert. The minimum installation height of 150 mm
above the tub rim must be observed. The conduit should
not be allowed to rise behind the back siphonage preventer.

Set the jet spray height to a
maximum of approx. 10 mm
by means of the ball valve.
There is a factory pre-installed fl ow control valve in the
fl ushing system's cold water feeder in order to control the
rate of fl ow. Depending on local water network pressure con-
ditions, a regulation and, if necessary, a reduction should be
carried out in the initial operation so that a maximum water
height of approx. 10 mm above the air-ground nozzle in
the whirlpool results during the system fl ush. This setting
should be checked by a plumber.

02.03 Water supply installation

The water and drain system should be made in compliance
with the binding regulations.
At installation to potable water supply, service technician or
user must connect fi rst a safety device according to local
regulations.

02.04 Electrical installation

The Hoesch whirl tubs are designed for home usage (in-
cluding hotels, workers' hostels, student hostels, etc.) and
meet the requirements included in relevant DIN/EN norms.
An exception is using them for medical purposes.
Notice:
All electrical works should be done by the
authorized electrician in accordance with the
applicable standard DIN/EN, typical country
norms and the local energy law!
The whirl system is designed to operate with the alternating
voltage of 230 V~AC, 50/60 Hz, 2kW. The electrical power
of the whirl system should be carried from a separate elec-
tric circuit and properly protected with a 16 A fuze, in com-
pliance with the rated power consumption, according to the
rating plate. Other users cannot be connected. According to
standards whirlpool baths as I Class electrical devices must
be permanently connected to the electrical system via a bi-
polar disconnector. For security reasons, the bath supply
cable must be connected to the electricity only through elec-
trical connector secured by overcurrent disconnector and
differential current circuit breaker (RCD device) with a no-
minal current of 30 mA, which will separate in all poles the
installation from electrical network leaving contacts open
width of at least 3 mm. The RCD device shall be verifi ed
