FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why does the intensity return immediately to 0 when the
value is increased to over 10 mA?
As already described in this manual, the device is provided
with a current supply control system. If the intensity value is
increased to more than 10 mA and the circuit is open, the
electrostimulator brings the intensity value back to 0 mA.
Thus it is necessary, before beginning any treatment, to
make sure that the cables are connected to the device,
that the electrodes are applied to the area to be treated
and that they are in good condition so as not to prejudice
their conduction capacity
Which electrodes should be used?
It is recommended to use self-adhesive electrodes that are
more handy and improve stimulation quality. If used pro-
perly (e.g., on clean skin), the electrodes can be used for
25-30 applications. They should, however, always be repla-
ced if they are not perfectly adherent to the skin.
Where should the electrodes be placed?
This manual includes pictures related to electrode positio-
ning for all body parts (polarity is irrelevant). It is thus suffi-
cient to follow these indications.
The correct positioning may be verified using the special
motor point pen or the following method: apply the elec-
trodes as indicated in the picture and start the stimulation,
then use one hand to push the electrode in various direc-
tions making the skin slide over the muscle. You will notice
an increase or decrease in the stimulation depending on
the position of the electrode. Once the point of greatest sti-
mulation has been identified, lower the channel intensity to
zero (0.0 mA), replace the electrode and gradually increa-
se the intensity.
Use of split cables and Y cables
Y-cables double the number of electrodes per channel.
This allows to work, for example, on the quadriceps vastus
medialis and lateralis with the same channel, thus using
both split channels to perform the treatment simultaneously
on two limbs involving four muscles. Use for medical appli-
cations is not recommended.
Does the use of Y-cables entail a decrease in power?
The current intensity supplied for each channel does not
vary. However, when using Y cables on a channel, the cur-
rent is distributed over a larger muscle mass and the con-
traction reduced. To obtain the same contraction, increa-
se the intensity.
Can the electrostimulator be harmful?
The device is unlikely to cause muscle damage. An impor-
tant principle to follow during stimulation is to gradually
increase the intensity while paying attention to the beha-
viour of the muscle, avoiding complete limb extention. In
case of doubt, consult a specialist.
Is it possible to use the electrostimulator during the men-
strual cycle?
Interferences such as early or late periods or heavier or ligh-
ter flows are extremely subjective and variable. It is howe-
ver recommended to avoid treatments in the abdominal
region during and immediately before-after the cycle.
Is it possible to use the electrostimulator while breast-fee-
ding?
As of today no side-effects have been reported concer-
ning the use of electrostimulation while breast-feeding. It is
recommended, however, not to treat the thoracic region.
Does the presence of dermatological diseases such as
psoriasis, urticaria, etc. prevent the use of the electrostimu-
lator?
Yes, it is definitely advisible not to treat epidermic regions
with severe dermatological pathologies.
How long does it take for the first results to become appa-
rent?
Cosmetic results are clearly subjective. It is however possi-
ble to state that good toning results may be achieved after
just 15 days with 3 or 4 regular sessions per week; whereas
electrolipolysis and electrodrainage treatments require 40
days. Better and quicker results can be achieved if the
treatments are combined with good physical activity and
a healthy lifestyle.
How many weekly electrostimulation sessions can I per-
form?
Regarding physical preparation sessions, we recommend
that you refer to the weekly programmes included in the
Personal Trainer. The weekly frequency of fitness and
beauty applications depends on the type of treatment.
Toning treatments should be performed 3-4 times a week
on alternate days. Lipolysis and drainage treatments can
instead be performed on a daily basis.
