- The Central Station LED is
green, but the system does
not work.
- Is the Central Station properly
connected to the track?
- Is the MTS throttle properly
connected to the Central Sta-
tion?
- The LED on your MTS throttle
is flashing.
- Has the Emergency Stop but-
ton been pressed? To restart
after an emergency stop, do
not press the button repeated-
ly. Wait for the LED on the MTS
throttle to flash three times.
Now press the Emergency
Stop button once.
- Is there a short circuit?
- Locomotives go too slowly.
- Does the power supply have
sufficient output for the number
of locomotives?
- Does the Central Station have
sufficient capacity for the num-
ber of locomotives? The maxi-
mum capacity of the Central
Station is 5 amps.
- Two locomotives respond to a
command
throttle.
- Are the locomotives set to the
same address? Reprogram
one locomotive to a different
address.
- Locomotives don't respond
instantly to speed/direction
commands.
- To protect the locomotives, the
Multi-Train System features
delayed acceleration and brak-
ing. Allow extra time and space
for starting and stopping.
- Conventional locos go the
wrong way
- Decoder-equipped
always go in the direction
selected on the MTS throttle
(forward/reverse).

However,

(locos without decoders) will
make a buzzing noise, espe-
cially when stopped. This is
caused by the complex signal
transmitted through the track to
decoder-equipped locos. This
will not harm a conventional
LGB locomotive.

SAFETY RULES

For your safety, please observe
these rules. Violating these rules
voids your warranty.
- CAUTION! The LGB Multi-
Train System is not a toy! Chil-
dren should be supervised at all
times.
- WARNING! Do not connect
the LGB Multi-Train System
and a conventional analog
power supply to the same lay-
out. Do not use a powered cate-
nary system together with the
LGB Multi-Train System on the
same layout.
- WARNING! Do not connect
more than one Central Station
to the same layout. If you need
additional power, use the 55090
MTS Power Extender.
- Attention! For safety and relia-
bility, operate this model with
LGB power supplies (transform-
ers and power packs) only.
- Caution! Do not connect the
phone-style connectors of MTS
products to your phone system.
The
MTS
destroyed!
- Do not block the ventilation
slots of the Central Station.
Do not put anything into the ven-
tilation slots.
- Do not install the Central Sta-
tion in an unventilated space.
The Central Station generates
heat. Protect the Central Station
from moisture.
- If there is a short circuit,
remove the cause immediately.
- Do not connect the Central
Station directly to house cur-
rent.
- Before cleaning the Central
Station, disconnect all cables.
- Check the components of the
Multi-Train System regularly.
