Hints:
- Train Mouse address 8 is pro-
grammed and controlled as
address 00 with other MTS
throttles.
- Locos that are always connect-
ed (for example, F7 A-B-A com-
binations)
grammed to the same address.
- To program loco addresses 16
to 22, you need the 55015 Uni-
versal Remote or the 55045
MTS PC Decoder Programming
Module and a programming
track. For more information, see
the instructions for these MTS
components.
- With
the
Remote, loco address 00 is pro-
grammed as 23.
- With a Loco Remote, you can
program MTS Switch Decoder
addresses 1-15 in the same way
as loco decoder addresses:
Remove all locos from the
tracks. Insert a programming

the switch decoder as described
above for loco decoders.
should
be
55015
Universal
ID NUMBER
Many MTS components have ID
(identification) numbers. ID num-
bers should not be duplicated.
(Exception: Multiple 55055/55056
Wireless Receivers on a layout
always should be programmed to
the same ID number.) For more
information, see the instructions
for the individual MTS compo-
nents.
The MTS Central Station recog-
nizes 7 ID Numbers (1-7, 1 and 2
have priority). For complex lay-
outs, we recommend selecting ID
1 for the 55060 MTS Computer
Interface, ID 2 for 55075 MTS
Train Detection Modules and
55070 MTS Feedback Interfaces,
while all other components can
receive ID Numbers between 3
and 7.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
- Locomotives do not work reli-
ably.
- Is the track dirty? Dirty track
can prevent commands and
power from reaching the locos.
Clean dirty tracks with a 20670
Track Cleaning Locomotive
(with decoder), 50040 Track
Cleaning Block, 50050 Track
Cleaning Attachment or 50010
Smoke and Cleaning Fluid.
- When using a Train Mouse, is
pro-
the correct operating mode
selected?
- The LEDs on the Central Sta-
tion are off. The system is not
receiving power.
- Is the power supply plugged in?
- Is the power supply properly
connected to the Central Sta-
tion?
- If you use a DC power supply:
Is the polarity of the power
supply correct? (To reverse the
polarity, reverse the power
pack's direction or swap the
wires to the Central Station.)
- The Central Station LED flash-
es red and the LED on the
MTS throttle flashes. There is
a short circuit.
- Has a train derailed?
- Is there a metal object lying
across the track?
- Is there a faulty connection or
cable?
