7. Safety instructions

7.1 Labels for single ladders
Read instructions completely.
Additional information about the ladder
is available on the Internet.
Maximum load.
Pay attention to proper set-up angle.
Set up ladder on a fl at surface.
Avoiding leaning out sideways.
Eliminate any contaminants on the fl oor.
Set up ladder on a fi rm surface.
Climbing sideways off the ladder
is not permitted.

7.2 General safety information

Possible risks must be taken into account
when using the ladder.
There is the risk of falling from the ladder or
the ladder falling over; people and objects can
thereby be injured or damaged.
When handling the ladder, there is a risk of
injury from pinching and shearing points.
All jobs with and on the ladder should there-
fore be carried out in such a way that these
risks are kept as low as possible.
The ladder should only be used for light jobs of short duration.
Do not work on the ladder for long periods without regular
breaks (fatigue jeopardises safe use).
The ladder must be suited for the particular use and may only
be used in the prescribed set-up position. Use only the treads
provided.
The ladder or parts of the ladder must not be modifi ed. Pay
attention to a safe grip when working as well as when climb-
ing up and down. Do not move ladder while using.
National valid regulations must by all means be complied
with – especially with professional use.
Always handle the ladder carefully.
Extend and collapse the ladder in a deliberate and careful
way. If a rail is bent or damaged, the ladder can potentially
be extended or collapsed only with difficulty or not at all.
