Safety instructions

WARNING
Risk of serious injury!
Any improper use or handling of the step stool carries a risk of
serious injury or death.
There is always a danger of falling when using a step stool.
This is why all jobs with and on the step stool must be
carried out in such a way as to minimise the risk of a fall.
Similarly, there is a danger that the step stool may overturn
when in use. An overturning step stool can cause personal
injury and property damage. This is why all jobs with and
on the step stool must be carried out in such a way as to
minimise the risk of overturning.
Additional safety information symbols
The additional safety symbols serve to inform the user of
the step stool about what is essential for safe use and
what is not allowed.
„Essential" is marked with a tick [ ]
and „not allowed" with a cross [ ].
Warning: risk of fall from the ladder.
Follow the instructions.
Inspect the ladder after delivery.
Visually inspect the ladder for damage and safe
handling before each use.
Do not use the ladder if damaged.
Maximum payload.
Do not use the step stool on an uneven or
unstable surface.
Avoid leaning over to the side.
Do not set up the step stool on contaminated
ground.
Maximum number of users.
Do not face away from the step stool when
climbing up and down.
Ensure that you have a firm hold on the step
stool when climbing up and down. Hold on
to the step stool when working or take other
safety measures if this is not possible.
Avoid activities which impose a side loading
on the step stool, e.g. drilling to the side
through solid materials.
Do not carry any heavy or bulky equipment
when using a step stool.
Do not climb the step stool in unsuitable
footwear.
Do not use the step stool if you have any physical
limitations.
Certain medical conditions and medication, as well as
alcohol and drug misuse, can jeopardise your safety
when using the step stool.
- Do not work on the step stool for long periods without regular
breaks (tiredness is a risk).
- Prevent damage to the step stool during transport, e.g. by tying
it down, and ensure that it is appropriately fixed/attached.
- Ensure that the step stool is suitable for the purpose for which
it is to be used.
- Do not use the step stool if it is contaminated, e.g. by wet paint,
dirt, oil and snow.
- Do not use the step stool outdoors in adverse weather c
onditions, e.g. strong winds.
- If used for professional purposes, a risk assessment must be
carried out with due regard for the legal requirements in the
country of use.
- When setting up the step stool, take care that there is no
possible risk of it being struck by pedestrians, vehicles or doors,
for example.
Lock doors (but not emergency exits) and windows in the
working area, wherever possible.
Warning: electrical hazard.
Assess all risks in the working area posed by
electrical equipment, e.g. high voltage overhead
power lines or other bare electrical equipment, and
do not use the step stool if electricity poses any sort
of risk.
