OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE LAMINATE SAW FOR RIP CUTTING
Lock the motor unit into the rip lock position using the slide lock knob.
Adjust the rip fence by sliding it to the correct depth and lock in position using
the lock knob.
Ensure that the anti kickback device is lowered, or in the active position.
Note. The anti kickback device may scratch the surface. If cutting a visible
surface, make sure the visible surface is facing down.
Remove the clamp and bevel fence to allow the workpiece to lie flat on the
work table.
Set the thickness setting so that the wood runs with a clearance of 1/16" - 3/32"
(1-2mm) from bottom of the guard.
Note. The distance markings on the table are only a guide. Do trial cut on
scrap wood first and adjust accordingly.
Switch the unit ON, wait a couple of seconds until the unit is at full speed. Push
the work piece forward allowing the guard to lift. With your fingers together,
place your hands flat on the workpiece and push the workpiece along the fence
into the saw blade.
Guide the workpiece at the side with your left hand only as far as the front
edge of the guard hood. Always push the workpiece through to the end of
the riving knife.
Leave the off-cuts on the saw table until the saw blade has stopped again.
Use the push stick for guiding the workpiece if your hand gets to within 5" (12.5
cm) of the saw blade. After using the push stick, place it back on the holder.
CUTTING A NARROW WORKPIECE
Longitudinal cuts in a workpiece smaller than 5" (12.5 cm) in width must always
be made with the help of the push stick.
WARNING. Worn or damaged push sticks must be replaced immediately.
CUTTING AN EXTREMELY NARROW WORKPIECE
Longitudinal cuts in an extremely narrow workpiece with a width of 1 1/4" (30mm)
or less must always be made with the help of a push block.
This table saw is not supplied with a push block. (Either make or purchase a
suitable one from a specialist dealer).
WARNING. Worn push blocks must be replaced without delay.
