Whenever you hold the tool, be careful not to cover the air vents with
your hand. This blocks the air flow and causes the motor to overheat.
On/Off Button
(Fig. 6)
The tool is switched "ON" by the On/Off But-
ton 1 located on the topside of the motor
housing.
TO TURN THE TOOL "ON," press and release
the On/Off Button 1.
TO TURN THE TOOL "OFF," press and release
the On/Off Button 1.
Note: The tool cannot be turned on while in
the disabling mode.
Variable Speed Dial
(Fig. 6)
Your tool is equipped with a Variable Speed
Dial 9. The speed may be adjusted during
operation by rotating the dial back or forth
between any one of the settings.

Disabling Mode
(Fig. 6)
In the disabling mode, the rotary tool is off
and cannot be turned on.
Turning the Variable Speed Dial 9 to 0 will
activate the disabling mode, turn the tool off,
and prevent the tool from turning on. There
will be a click when the Variable Speed Dial 9
enters or exits the disabling mode.
