CHRONOMETER
CERTIFICATION
"Chronometer-certified" means that the
movement of a watch is adjusted to within
a tolerance of between -4/+6 seconds per
24 hours, corresponding to 99.99% preci-
sion. This supreme guarantee of reliability
and precision is issued by the Swiss Official
Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC),
an independent organisation certified by
the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS).
Mechanical movements must satisfy a
range of extremely stringent criteria to
earn this much sought-after distinction.
Each movement is individually tested
over a period of fifteen consecutive days
and nights, in five different positions and
at three different temperatures. For more

POINÇON DE GENÈVE
QUALITY HALLMARK
Representing the coat-of-arms of the city
of Geneva, the Poinçon de Genève quality
hallmark is one of the oldest horological
certifications. This set of regulations
issued in 1886 testifies to Geneva's
grand watchmaking tradition and to the
expertise patiently acquired over gen-
erations. A reliable token of quality, this
prestigious hallmark testifies to excep-
tional workmanship and stems from an
authentic philosophy that tolerates no
compromises on the quality of the move-
ment components and of the watch as
a whole. The Poinçon de Genève is a
highly demanding certification that guar-
antees the origin, craftsmanship, quality
and exceptional expertise of mechanical
watches that are assembled, adjusted
and controlled in the Canton of Geneva. It
is governed by rigor-ous criteria encom-
passing technical aspects and functional
characteristics as well as the overall aes-
thetic of a given model. These criteria
include extremely precise specifications
relating to all movement components and
additional mechanisms, to the materials
used, to the finish, as well as to the con-
struction and the assembly of the watch.
