Replacing the lamps
Ifa largeamountof smokelooksgreyor colourless, oneor morelampsmight bedefective.
You can check defective lamps as follows:
I. While leaving theflameeffectturnedon,remove thefuelbedandwaterreservoir (see Figure 3)andremove theadapter ( see
figure 4).
2. Lookat the lampsfroma distanceinfront of the fireanddeterminewhichlampsshouldbereplaced.
3.Putswitch'A' i nthe OFF(0)position(seeFigure2)andpull the plugout the wallsocket
4. Letthe lampscoolofffor 20minutesbeforeyou removethem.
5. Removethe water reservoir by lifting it and placeit in the kitchen sink.
6.Remove the receptacle asdescribedinthe chapter'Cleaning'.
7.Remove t hedefectlampbyvertically liftingit carefully andbypullingitoutoftheplugpinsofthe lampholder(see Figure 4 and4a).

8.Putthetwoplugpinsofthe newlampinthetwoholes ofthe lampholder. P ush thelampintoplace(see Figure 4 and4a).
9. Put the adapter, water reservoir and fuel bed back
10. Tum on the fire.
Filling the water reservoir
Ifthewater r eservoir isempty, t heflame andsmoke effect w illstopand youwillheartwo beeps. Inthatcase, followthese steps:
1.Putswitch'A inthe OFFposition(O). ( See Figure2)
2.Carefully remove thefuelbedandputitcarefully onthefloor(see Figure 3).
3.Remove the waterreservoirby lifting it straightup
4.Put t hewater r eservoir inthekitchen s ink and turnthecap counterclockwise
5.Only fillthereservoir withsufficiently soft(<IOdH) o rdemineralised water. T his isneeded t oguarantee thelifespan o ftheflame
and smoke mechanism.
6.Close t hecapbyscrewing i t back on,but don'ttum it too tightly.
7.Plac

8. Carefullyput the fuel bed back.
