Shouldany resistance be felt at any time during manipulation,insertionor withdrawalof the
guidewires,do not forceor continue: s topthe procedure immediately a nd determine the
causeof the resistance b eforeproceeding. Excessive forceagainstresistance m ayresultin
damage to the vessel.
Variousballoon dilatation cathetersare designedto be compatiblewith differentsizewires.
Carefully check andmatch ballooncatheter compatibility t o theproper w irepriorto use.
Abrasion of thehydrophilic c oating maybecaused bya catheter withtightguidewirelumen. I t
is advisable not to use such kind of catheters.
e Excessiv tightening of thetorquedevice ontothewiremayresult i n abrasion of thecoating on
the wire.
Do not rotate the guide wire if significant resistanceis felt.

Preparation for use
1. Carefullyremovetheguidewire from its dispenser.
2. Inspect t hewire prior to useto verifythatit is notdamaged.
3. If desired, gently shape theguidewiretip according to standard practice.
