Interface
Usually a Haag-Streit adapter ring for digital camera and a
camera specific Step down ring are needed. A list of recom-
mended cameras and requested components can be found in
the internet under: www.haag-streit.com
Installation
• Remove protective cover of the video adapter.
• Remove binocular tube, attach the digital photo adapter (97)
in the beam path and mount again the binocular tube.
• Loosen the fixation screw (92) of the digital photo adapter, the
connecting ring (93) can now easily be removed.
• Screw the Haag-Streit adapter ring for digital camera (94) to
the connecting ring.
• If necessary: screw the 'Step Down Ring' (95) to the Haag-
Streit adapter ring for digital camera.
• Fix camera (96) onto the 'Step Down Ring'.
• Position the complete set on the digital photo adapter, align
it horizontal and fix it with fixation screw (92).
• Check connection!
Camera cables
Haag-Streit recommends the use of a cable guide with angle (99)
(see accessories) which can be fixed on the headrest (102).
Thus all camera cables (100) for data transfer and for power
can be stored in an elegant way.
• The angle is fixed with a screw (101) on the standardized
tripod thread of the camera. For details see separate sheet
attached to the cable guide.
Camera settings
• The camera's focus must be set at 'infinity' (do not work in
the autofocus mode!)
• Zoom the desired image section, observation on the camera's
display.
• Experience shows, that exposure times exceeding /0 se-
cond do not produce good results (eye movements).
• The integrated flash must be disabled, otherwise it could
shade the object.
The instruction manual of the camera is to be observed!
• Haag-Streit recommends the use of the eyepiece with double
crosshair reticule (103).
The images can be viewed on the computer by using any pic-
ture viewer program. For patient administration, the photo-
graphs can also be imported into an advanced program such
as EyeCap.
