Background illumination
a) Slit illumination and diffusor
It is possible to take images and video using the inbuilt illu-
mination of the slit lamp and the diffusor. But this excludes
simultaneous slit projection.
Installation
• Insert the diffusor into the foreseen reception slots (112) where
it will snap in to secure.
b) EcoLite
For video images good results can be obtained by using the
LED background illumination EcoLite.
Installation
• Remove protection cover (115) and protecting cap (118).
• Install the EcoLite (113).
• Insert the angled plug of the delivered connection cable (116)
into EcoLite (114) and connect the auxiliary power (117).
c) Optical light lead and pivoting mirror
Haag-Streit recommends as optimal solution for digital photo-
graphy the use of the cold light source CLS 01 with background
illumination pivoting mirror in addition to the slit illumination.
Installation
• The cold light source (123) should be positioned according
to the instrument table.
• Remove protection cover (120).
• Install the pivoting mirror (119)
• The light lead is fixed with the cable guides on the rail cover
(122), and then passed through the cable cover (121) to the
cold light source.
