OPERATION
„ Mark the line of cut clearly.
„ Do not use liquid coolants when cutting metal.
„ If excessive vibration occurs during cutting, verify the
workpiece is clamped securely. If vibration continues,
the saw blade may need to be replaced.
CUTTING
See Figures 6 - 7, page 11.
WARNING:
Make sure the workpiece is secure with clamps,
vise, or similar methods to prevent workpiece from
moving, since this could cause loss of control
resulting in serious injury.
WARNING:
Make sure the blade does not touch the work un-
til the motor reaches full speed, since this could
cause loss of control resulting in serious injury.
„ Secure the workpiece to a work bench or table with a
vise or with clamps.
NOTE: Remember to consider the size and weight of the
piece that will be cut off and provide support as needed
to prevent any possible injury from the falling piece.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts could create a hazard
or cause product damage.
AFTER FRENCH AND SPANISH LANGUAGE SECTIONS.
NOTE: ILLUSTRATIONS BEGIN ON PAGE 9
„ Hold the saw firmly in front of and clearly away from you.
„ Set the work stop against the workpiece but do not allow
the blade to touch the workpiece.
„ Press and hold the lock-out and depress the variable
switch trigger.
NOTE: The worklight will illuminate whenever the switch
trigger is depressed and will turn off automatically after
the trigger is released.
„ Once the saw blade reaches full cutting speed, slowly
move the blade into the workpiece. Keep the maximum
number of teeth possible in contact with the piece being
cut and keep the blade straight during cutting without
twisting.
NOTE: Do not force. Use only enough pressure to keep
the saw cutting and the work stop against the workpiece.
Allow the blade and the weight of the tool to do the work.
„ As you reach the end of the cut, hold the saw firmly so it
does not fall against the workpiece.
„ When finished with the saw, release the switch trigger,
remove the battery pack, and use the provided rafter hook
to hang the saw for storage. Make sure to hang from a
suitable stable structure to prevent possible tool damage
or injury from a falling tool.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
