5. Insert the cartridge in the base (fig. 3) and lock it with the cartridge holder spring (fig. 4).
6. Make sure the rubber seal of the tap "C" is in regular position (Fig. 5) and that it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if the
gasket "C" is damaged or ruined.
7. Screw the base to the top side by turning it counterclockwise until it stops, holding it in stable and horizontal position (Fig. 6).
8. When replacing the cartridge repeat from step 1 after making sure that the gas cartridge is completely empty (shake to hear the
noise made by the liquid).
The cartridge is currently perforated; when opening the valve, if there is no gas release, the cartridge should absolutely not be removed
as the cartridge is anyway punctured. In this case, contact your retailer.
MOD. 1040A
The appliance is designed to work in a horizontal position and with any inclination (360°) after a warm up for 20-30 seconds.
For long use it is recommended a maximum inclination of 60° of the device, to avoid excessive heating by refraction.
Gas cartridge assembly
This appliance shall only be used with piercing gas cartridge at direct pressure butane mod. Kemper 1120S1, 1120B, Plein Air PL707,
Dexter 1120S1DX, Kemper 1120 (only extra CEE) and with threaded valve gas cartridge at direct pressure butane/propane mixture
mod. Kemper 1121F. It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other types of gas containers.
1. Make sure the gas supply tap knob "D" is in the closed position that is clockwise rotated toward the sign «-» (fig. 9).
2. Separate completely the colored base "A" from the top by unscrewing it on clockwise direction (fig. 7).
3. Insert the cartridge "B" in the colored base and make sure that it is not damaged and is accommodated in the appropriate seat
(fig. 8).
4. Make sure the rubber seal "C" of the tap is in regular position (Fig. 9) and that it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if the
gasket "C" is damaged or ruined.
5. Screw the colored base "A" to the top side by turning it counterclockwise until it stops, holding it in stable and horizontal position
(Fig. 10).
6. When replacing the cartridge repeat from step 1 after making sure that the gas cartridge is completely empty.

MOD. 820A
The device is designed to work in a horizontal position and with any inclination (360°) after a warm up for 20-30 seconds.

MOD. 820BE – 820B
The appliance does not require preheating. The appliance must operate in horizontal surface or with a maximum inclination
of 10-20 ° in order to avoid a dangerous lengthening of flame caused by burning of cartridge's fuel in liquid phase.
Gas cartridge assembly
This device works only with threaded valve gas cartridge at direct pressure mixture butane/propane mod. Kemper 1121F, 575, 576,
580 and 1126F46 for items 820A and 820BE and mod. Kemper 582 for item 820B. It can be dangerous to try to use other gas cartridges.

POWER
Piezo model (KE2019 – KE2019A – KE2019CHEF – 770 – 1040A – 820A – 820BE – 820B)
Slightly open the valve counterclockwise «+» and push the ignition button. Repeat in case of power failure
No piezo model (KE2018 – KE2018A)
Slightly open the valve counterclockwise «+» and bring a lighted match near the burner. Repeat in case of power failure.
REGULATION OF POWER
Increase the power of the appliance by turning the knob towards the «+» sign (counterclockwise). To decrease the power, turn the
knob towards the «-» sign (clockwise) until the shutdown.
CARTRIDGE CHANGE
The cartridge should be changed in a well-ventilated location, preferentially outside, away from any sources of ignition, such
as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people
Check that the cartridge is empty before changing it (shake to hear the noise made by the liquid). Check that burners are extinguished
before disconnecting the gas container
Unscrew the unit from the housings and remove the empty gas cartridge or, for models 820A, 820BE and 820B, unscrew directly the
cartridge. Check that seals are in place and in good condition before connecting to the gas container.
Insert the new gas cartridge into the housings and proceed as described in paragraph "USE."
The cartridge must not be abandoned in the environment but in a safe place. Do not pierce the cartridge. Do not throw the empty
cartridge into fire. All the gas cartridges are disposable. Refilling is not permitted.
MAINTENANCE
a) To clean the body of your appliance, use a cotton wad soaked in warm water and soap. Never use abrasive products.
b) To clean the burner, use a soft brush.
STORAGE
When not using the equipment must be stored upright, in suitable places, protecting it from degradation risks, the place must be well
ventilated and kept away from children.

After the installation of the appliance, there are some residual risks that have to be considered:
Residual risks according to Regulation (EU) 2016/426 (annex 1, point 1.2)
Although the appliance is designed with all the possible safety requirements, in case of external fire there is the possibility that the
-
internal pressure and temperature of the appliance and of the cylinder will increase in a dangerous and uncontrollable way. Use
suitable extinguishing tools only if it is safe, otherwise get away and inform promptly the competent authorities.
