Maintenance and care
General information Retention cistern Platin XL/XXL and Carat XL/XXL:
The entire system must be checked for leaks, cleanliness and stability at least every three months.
The entire system should be serviced at intervals of approx. 5 years. All system components must be
cleaned and checked for proper function. Maintenance should be carried out as follows:
Empty the container completely.
Clean surfaces and built-in parts with water.
Remove all dirt from the container.
Check that all installation parts are firmly seated.
The EcoFlow Control is an extremely low-maintenance throttle system.
As a rule, a visual inspection after a particularly heavy rain event is sufficient.
For smaller diameters (EcoFlow Control set S), an additional visual inspection is recommended every 6
months.
If you notice any damage to the membrane of the EcoFlow Control, please note the diameter next to it (see
illustration) and contact GRAF Service.
Note:
In order to ensure the proper operation of retention systems, sufficiently dimensioned filters
must generally be provided. These filters are located upstream of the retention system,
viewed in the direction of flow of the rainwater.
In special cases, multi-stage filter systems with coarse and fine filters are used to clean the
rainwater accordingly.
The positioning of fittings or other devices that hydraulically influence the free flow of water
downstream of the hose squeeze restrictor is not permitted. A backflow must always be
ruled out.
In the event of an unforeseen backflow, the cistern must be emptied in an emergency.
