2.4. Setting the systems in conference mode (encryption procedure)
Principle: In order to communicate, the devices must save an encryption key supplied by
apparatus number 01.
This operation is required in order to:
• Enable all the devices to take part in a conference.
• Add a device to an existing system that has already been configured.

IMPORTANT

A device cannot communicate with a system if the encryption procedure has not been car-
ried out. If you want to add a terminal to an existing system, you absolutely must carry out
this procedure with all the devices in the system (including the devices configured in Listener
mode).
Make sure that each of the following criteria are fulfilled before starting the operation:
• All the devices must use the same channel.
• Only one device bears the ID 01.
Procedure:
• On each device, press the "Menu" key until the User MENU is displayed.
• Using the "+" or "-" keys, access the Network sub-menu. Press "OK" to validate your
choice.
• Using the "+" or "-" keys, access the Start sub-menu.
• On terminals 2 to 6, press "OK" to validate your choice.
• All the devices should display "Network Encryption in progress... please wait".
• Now, press the "OK" key on terminal 1. Apparatus 01 will display "Sending Key. please
wait until process has succeeded".
• When a device has received the encryption key from device number 01, **SUCCEE-
DED** will appear on-screen. Press the "OK" key to validate it. Only device 01 retains
the same display.
• When the encryption operation has been validated on each of the other devices, press
the "OK" key on device number 01 to end the operation.
Remark: To quit the menu without saving, press the "Menu" key.
On the main screen, all of the terminals integrated into the network appear on the "status"
icon, thus confirming that the products are properly paired up.
Once these three stages (b, c and d) have been carried out, you can use your Vokkero
communication system.
2.5. Adjusting the listening volume
• Make sure that the keypad is unlocked.
• Make sure that you are on the home screen. Press "+" or "–" for 2 seconds.
• You will then hear a beep in the earphone.
• To adjust the volume, press "+" or "–". There are 9 volume levels. The maximum or mini-
mum level is visible via the volume icon (cf. the description of the screen icons)
• Press "OK" to validate.
2.6. Entering and leaving the network
When the communication network has been created, each time your terminal enters or
leaves the network, this is indicated by two beeps:
* 4 rapid beeps -> entering the network
* 2 slow beeps -> leaving the network
