5.3.1

Preparation

Implant storage
• Remove the screws and plate modules from the implant basket and store them, without stacking, next to
each other in closed condition and with sufficient space between the individual modules on cleaning-
friendly carriers such as sterilization trays or tray baskets.
• Ensure that the lids are put on correctly and the modules are closed.
• Before machine cleaning and disinfection, clean the screw and plate modules for 10 minutes in an
ultrasonic bath (0.5 %, e. g. MediClean Forte).
• Place the implant basket with the opening facing downwards in the washer-disinfector separately.
Instrument storage
• Remove the instruments from the instrument basket and store them on cleaning-friendly carriers, e. g.
sterilization trays or tray baskets.
• Place the instrument basket with the opening facing downwards in the washer-disinfector separately.
• Place the lid of the instrument storage tray in the washer-disinfector separately.

Cleaning and Disinfection

5.4.1

Machine Cleaning and Disinfection

The cleaning process must be carried out using a validated procedure, e.g. in a washer-disinfector (W/D)
according to ISO 15883.
The cleaning process has been validated.

• Remove the products from the washer-disinfector at the end of the program and check them for residual
contamination. In case of doubt, repeat the process.
• Empty the chamber of the washer-disinfector between the process steps.
