5.3 Terminology

5.5 Sicherheitsprüfung
At each stage of the production and assembly process, the plasma welding
torch ABIPLAS WELD 100W is subject to ongoing quality control in line

with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001.

5.6 Responsibilities of the user

Within the EEA (European Economic Area) the current version of the
national implementation of the Framework Directive (89/391/EEC)
and related individual directives, especially Directive 89/655/EEC
concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use
equipment by persons at work is to be adhered to.
This includes the regulations on accident prevention of the country in
question.
When using the plasma welding torch system be aware of the
relevant safety requirements:
• Only operators with the relevant knowledge of arc welding equipment
should use the system.
• Arc welding may cause damage to eyes, skin and hearing.
Therefore please always wear the required safety clothing, eye
and ear protection in compliance with the relevant regulations in
the country in question, e.g. in Germany UVV 26.0 and VBG 15.
• The rating given represents maximum limit values.
Overloading can lead to torch damage or destruction.
• Before replacing consumables, switch off the power supply.
• Follow the operating instructions for the individual welding
components, e.g. for the power supply and cooling unit.
• Do not pull the cable assembly across sharp edges or set it down
in the welding spatter area or on hot work pieces.
