Front Panel

1. Power: Press this switch to turn DN-500DC on/off. Make sure the power input is properly
connected to a power outlet. Do not turn the unit off during media playback—doing so
could damage your media.
2. USB Port: Connect a mass-storage-class USB device to this port.
3. SD Card Slot: Insert an SD or SDHC card to this slot.
4. CD Slot: Insert a CD into this slot.
5. Display: This screen indicates the unit's current operation.
6. Remote Sensor: Point the remote control at this sensor when operating it.
7. Eject: Press this to eject the CD in the CD slot.
8. Play/Pause: Press this button to start/resume or to pause playback.
9. Stop: Press this button to stop playback.
10. Skip Back/Forward: Briefly press these buttons to skip to the previous or next track.
Press and hold these buttons to rewind or fast-forward through the current track.
11. Prog: Press this button to enter Program mode, which lets you select tracks that will play
in a specific order. See

Rear Panel

1. Power Input: Use the included power cable to connect this input to a power outlet.
2. Fuse: If the fuse blows, replace it with a fuse of the same type. Using a fuse with an
incorrect rating can damage the unit and/or fuse.
3. Audio Outputs (balanced, XLR): These outputs send the audio signal to your external
speakers, receiver, etc. Use XLR cables to make these connections.
4. Audio Outputs (unbalanced, RCA): These outputs send the audio signal to your external
speakers, receiver, etc. Use RCA cables to make these connections.
5. RS-232 Remote Input: This input lets you connect a computer to DN-500DC. Use a 9-pin
D-Sub cable to make this connection. You can use the computer with a third-party utility
to control DN-500DC via serial communication.
