■ Do not use the device as a heater.
■ In case of fi re: Do not put out with water! Smother fl ames with a fi re-proof blanket or
put out using a suitable fi re extinguisher.
NOTICE – risk of material and property damage
■ Only connect the device to properly installed sockets with earth contacts that match
the technical data of the device. The socket must also be easily accessible after con-
nection, so that the network connection can be quickly disconnected.
■ Make sure that the power cord is not crushed, kinked or placed over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (this also applies to the hot surfaces of
the device!).
■ Use only heat-resistant utensils for placing and removing food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp-edged objects away from the device. These could damage the non-stick
coating of the grill plates. We recommend using heat-resistant kitchen utensils made
of wood or plastic.
■ Turn the device off and unplug the power cord if an error occurs during operation,
power failure or thunderstorm.
■ Never pull or carry the device by the connection. When pulling out of the socket al-
ways pull on the power plug and never on the power cord!
■ Protect the device from other sources of heat, open fl ames, sub-freezing tempera-
tures, prolonged humidity, moisture and impacts.
■ Only use original accessories from the manufacturer so as not to impair the function-
ing of the device and to prevent possible damage.

Check the scope of delivery for completeness, and the components for transport dam-
age. If device is damaged, do not use the device but contact customer service immedi-
ately.
Before fi rst use
1. Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never
remove the rating plate and any possible warnings.
2. The device may have production residues stuck to it. To prevent health risks, clean
the device thoroughly before its fi rst use and then heat up for a couple of minutes.
Follow the instructions in the chapters "Cleaning and storage", "Setting up the device"
and "Usage".
During initial startup, production-related additives (e. g. grease) can lead to slight
smoke and / or odour development. This is normal and not a defect of the device.
3. Clean the device again.
