❐ ATTENTION Danger of electrocution! Never immerse the device, thermostat plug,
mains plug and cable in water or other liquids. If the device falls in water, immediately
disconnect the power supply.
❐ ATTENTION Risk of fi re! Do not cover the device during operation to prevent a risk
of fi re. Make sure the room is adequately ventilated when the device is in use.
❐ ATTENTION Risk of fi re! Do not place any fl ammable materials or materials that
could readily melt (e.g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles) on the device.
❐ Always turn the device off fi rst by turning the temperature control to the 0 position
before you insert the mains plug in the socket or pull the mains plug out of the socket.
❐ Pull the mains plug out of the socket,
– if you are not using the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.
❐ If you wish to pull the mains plug out of the socket, never pull on the cable, but always
on the plug.
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Only use the enclosed accessories from the manufacturer. All warranty claims are
forfeited if accessories are used, which are not authorised by the manufacturer.

Before fi rst use
ATTENTION!
❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. Danger of suffocation
exists!
Unpack the device and remove all protective foils and stickers. Make sure that the
product contents are complete (see chapter "Scope of delivery and device overview")
and check for any damages from transport. Should you identify any transport dam-
age, do not use the device(!); instead please promptly consult the customer service.
