2. Open the protective cover for the charging socket (10) on the main unit and connect
the barrel connector of the mains adapter to the charging socket.
3. Connect the mains adapter to a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessi-
ble. The battery status display (9) fl ashes (• 30%, •• 65%, ••• 100% charge).
The battery is fully charged when the battery status display lights up
4. Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the main unit.
5. Close the protective cover for the charging socket again.

Replacing the Battery in the Handle

The handle (2) is equipped with a 12 V battery, A23 type (already inserted when the
device is supplied) and communicates with the main unit wirelessly. The battery com-
partment is located in the handle. If the device cannot be switched on even though the
battery of the main unit (13) is fully charged, the battery in the handle may need to be
replaced. To do this, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the two screws in the handle using a screwdriver.
2. Carefully remove the coloured cover on the top of the handle.
3. Remove the used battery and insert a new 12 V battery, A23. Pay attention to the
correct polarity.
Before inserting the battery, check whether the contacts in the handle and on the
battery are clean, and clean them if necessary.
4. Place the cover back on the handle. Make sure that the locking lug fi ts in the recess
which is provided for it.
5. Reinsert the screws and tighten them so they are hand-tight.

Filling the Water Tank

PLEASE NOTE!
■ When the water tank is fi lled, the main unit must not be tilted, turned upside down or
laid or placed on its side. Water could leak out!
1. Flip up the stem mount (6) on the main unit (13). It must be upright so that the device
is deactivated and cannot be switched on accidentally.

2. Open the water tank cap (7) on the main unit.
3. Fill the water tank with water using the measuring cup
(max. 250 ml).
4. Close the water tank cap.
