4. Where necessary, fasten the braces with the relevant
shackles.

So that the braces can be fastened at the correct
height, there are multiple fastening straps on the
chemical protective suit. Depending on the size of the
wearer, the braces should be fastened so that the
waist belt of the compressed air breathing apparatus
or compressed air hose respirator of the training unit
does not get stuck.
5. Treat the full face mask visor from inside using "klar-pilot"
anti-fogging gel. Use the spray "klar-pilot" Comfort for
coated mask visors.
6. Open out the full face mask straps, both for chemical
protective suits with integrated full face masks and for
chemical protective suits with full face masks.

Putting on the chemical protective suit

Get a second person to assist you with donning the
suit.
1. Put on underclothing (moisture-wicking work clothing,
cotton gloves).

Dräger recommends tucking the trouser legs of the
underclothing into the socks to prevent the trouser legs
shifting.
To prevent the cotton gloves slipping down, they
should be fixed on the wrist using insulation tape.
2. If the chemical protective suit is
fitted with a face cuff, adjust the
elastic straps in the hood to the
user's head size.

The proper fit of the sealing sleeve on the face is
important for the tight fit of the full face mask.
If the chemical protective suit is fitted with braces, step
into the suit so that the braces are lying against the
sides and do not slip in between the legs.

3. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with gas-tight
integrated socks:
a. Without shoes, first step into the right trouser leg, then
into the left trouser leg.
b. Don the safety boots.
4. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with gas-tight
integrated safety boots: Without shoes, first step into the
right trouser leg and into the safety boot, then into the left
trouser leg and the safety boot.
5. Pull up the chemical protective suit to the waist.
6. If the chemical protective suit is fitted with braces, put on
the braces.
7. Slip the left arm into the sleeve and glove.
8. Slip the right arm into the sleeve and glove.
9. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with an
integrated full face mask:
a. Pull apart the straps on the full face mask.
b. Pull the hood over the head.
c. Straighten the full face mask so that the face seal is
positioned correctly on the face.
d. Tighten the straps on the full face mask straight away.
10. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a face cuff:
a. Line up the face cuff so that it is
positioned underneath the full
face mask seal on the face.
b. Put on the full face mask.
Do not move the hood with the cuff when putting on.
c. Align the full face mask so that the sealing line is in
place at all points on the face cuff.
d. Place the full face mask carrying strap around the neck.
e. Put the full face mask straps over the head so that the
back of the head is fully enclosed by the straps. If the
straps are too high, the mask may slip.
f. Tighten the straps on the full face mask:

12. Check proper functioning of the full face mask as described

in the instructions for use of the relevant full face mask.
13. If the chemical protective suit is fitted with a face cuff and
the mask is not fully sealed, check that the sealing tapes on
the face cuff are located in the sealing area of the mask
sealing lips. In this case, pull out the hood material from the
sealing frame area far enough for the elastomer of the face
cuff to be located underneath the frame. Ensure that the

face cuff is not pulled down under the mask.
14. Close the fastener system. Always pull in the direction of
the zip. Do not use force!
15. Close the cover strap on the fastener system.
16. Pull the suit material up in front of the body, and down
behind the body. This is ensured when the breathing
apparatus is fitted.
17. Put on the breathing apparatus.
18. Check the correct functioning of the breathing apparatus.
