This unit automatically selects the most suitable equalization pattern
for the previously adjusted sound field and the source you are listening
to.

3. Start playing your desired source.
The Smart Equalizer function operates, automatically adjusting
equalization if the sound field effect is insufficient.
NOTE:
* When recording, the Smart Equalizer function does not operate if the
REC MODE buttan is ON.
* The Smart Equalizer automatically adjusts equalization to best suit
each track, but if there is no silent passage between tracks, or a track
is exceptionally short, equalization will remain the same as for the
previous track. To achieve optimum equalization in these cases, press
the SMART EQ button OFF, and then press it ON again.
* Ifa silent passage continues for one minute or longer, equalization
is canceled.

indicator lights.
* With LIVE and HALL sound fields, Surround & Stereo Wide are on
from the beginning.
