or FFP3 against solid and liquid aerosols in
concentrations up to Protection Factor X WEL
(Workplace Exposure Limit):4 x WEL: FFP1
class (low toxicity),12 [10 in UK, FIN, D, I, S] x
WEL: FFP2 class (average toxicity),50[20 in
FIN, S, UK & 30 D, I] x WEL: FFP3 class (high
toxicity). «D» marked for passing the dolomite
clogging test. «NR» (single -shift use) or «R»
(re-useable) marked according to the amended
standard EN 149:2001 +A1:2009.
WEARING AND ADJUSTMENT
Follow these instructions each time respira-
1
tor is worn.
Cup the respirator in the hand, allowing the

head strap around the neck below the ears.
Holding the respirator against the face with

one hand, place the top head strap above
the ears, around the crown of the head.
Place hands on each side of the respirator
1
and move slightly right, left, up and down,
to adjust the position of the respirator and
the nosepiece to achieve the most optimal
fit on the face.
FIT-CHECK THE FACE-SEAL AS FOLLOWS
Place both hands over the respirator - do not
1
disturb the position of the respirator.
Inhale sharply (a negative pressure should
1
be felt inside the respirator).
Exhale sharply (a positive pressure should
1
be felt inside the respirator).
If you detect air-leaks, readjust the head
1
straps and/or the nose-piece.
WARNING: If you cannot achieve satisfactory fit,
do NOT enter the contaminated area. See your
Supervisor.
USE INSTRUCTION
Failure to follow all instructions and limita-
1
tions concerning the use of the respirator
and/or failure to wear the respirator for the
whole duration of exposure to contaminants
can seriously reduce the performance
characteristics of the respirator and lead to
illness, injury or death.
Before Occupational Use of this respirator,
1
a written respiratory protection program
must be implemented meeting all the local
government requirements.
Taking a new mask from its box.
1
Check the condition of the mask before use.
1
Fit the mask and check leak-tightness
1
before entering the contaminated area.
Wear it for the whole duration of exposure to
1
contaminants
Discard the respirator and replace with a
1
new one if:
• it is removed while in a contaminated area,
• excessive clogging of the respirator causes
breathing difficulty or discomfort,
• the respirator becomes damaged,
• for masks offering relief against nuisance
odors, the smell becomes detectable.
Do not alter the mask.
1
Leave the contaminated area if dizziness,
1
irritation or other distress occurs.
LIMITATIONS
DO NOT use this mask to enter or stay in an
1
area where:
• oxygen concentration is less than 17%
(oxygen-deficient atmospheres),
• contaminants and/or their concentrations
are unknown or immediately dangerous to
life or health,
• aerosol concentration exceeds levels fixed
by applicable health and safety regulations
or Protection Factor x WEL,
• gases and/or vapors are present.
DO NOT use this mask in explosive atmos-
1
pheres.
DO NOT use before receiving training.
1
CHECKING BEFORE USE
The user shall ensure that the mask is suitable
