7 TAPE LEAD-IN Button
Normally, the beginning and endings of the cassette are not magnetic
tapes. Depending
on the functional capacity of the tape lead-in it is
very simple to position it to the magnetic tape. Push the TAPE LEAD-
IN button. The tape will wind-up very rapidly and will come to a stop
automatically.

LEAD-IN

will perform
when
engaged
in any
operating state of a tape.

REC Button
To record, hold this switch down as you push the PLAY switch.
9 PAUSE Button
Push i: when
you want to temr
rarily halt tape transport during re-
cording or playback. Push it again to set the transport into motion for
recording or playback.

The PAUSE
button does not work during fast forward or rewind.

switches should be switched
over to the
correct
position, depending on the type of tape used. Set the BIAS
switch
prior to recording
and
the EQUALIZER
switch
prior to re-
cording
or playback.
Select the position
of the TAPE
SELECTOR
switces as shown in the chart.

12 REC LEVEL Controls
These controls adjust the inpui signal level from the MIC jacks or the
LINE IN (REC) terminals. The hack control is for the right channel, the
front for the left che ~nel.
13 VU Meters
The
VU meters
indicate the level of signal when
recording is taking
place. During playback, the meters indicate the recorded level.
