CUTTING TYPES AND LAWN DISCHARGE
CUTTING USING THE GRASS CATCHER
With the grass catcher installed, all the cut grass cuttings will be collected inside the grass catcher. The grass catcher
is used to catch the grass while working.
INDICATOR
The grass catcher is equipped with a window that indicates the level of grass cuttings during the work.
When the window is open, there is still space to pick up grass in the grass catcher.
When the window is closed, the grass catcher is full and must be emptied.
Empty the basket regularly while you work. Do not wait until it is full, it is recommended to empty it when it is half full.
CUTTING USING THE REAR DISCHARGE OR MULCHING
If the grass catcher is not installed the lawn will be thrown towards the back. To use the mulching option, you must
install the mulching attachment on the back of the mower and keep the side discharge closed. When mulching the
cut grass is finely chopped inside the mower chassis and can be left on the cut grass as a "grass feed", as fertilizer
or organic fertilizer.
1.
Remove the grass catcher and hold the mower cover with your hand.
2.
Install the mulching cap in the rear discharge port and make sure that the side discharge is closed.
ATTENTION: Only place or remove the mulching cap when the engine is off.
CUTTING USING THE SIDE DISCHARGE
Lift the side discharge chute and place the side discharge deflector.
ATTENTION: Only hold and remove the side discharge deflector when the engine is off.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
ALTITUDE
If the engine is being used in altitudes at or above 1500m, adjustments to the carburettor may be necessary. This is
because there is less oxygen in the air as altitude increases, which effectively "enriches" the ratio of fuel to the air
into the engine and the higher the altitude, the richer the fuel mixture becomes. If the engine is being permanently
operated at high altitude, it is recommended to have an authorized technical centre make the necessary carburettor
adjustments. If the engine is used occasionally at altitude (not at extreme altitudes) no adjustments should be required,
however, a slight decrease in engine performance can be expected.
TEMPERATURE
If the engine is being used in extremely cold or hot environments, such as in a desert or snow conditions, it may
be necessary to change the type of engine oil to adapt to ambient temperatures. Oil thickens as the temperature
decreases and thins as temperature increases, which means that if the engine oil is not suitable for the temperature,
its ability to properly lubricate the engine may be affected. Use the following table to determine the correct engine oil:
