Clamping bolt

NOTE: Allow engine to cool before beginning work.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Verify that remaining portion of broken manifold bolt is not protruding past exhaust manifold surface.
Grind flush if necessary.
STEP 2:
Apply high temperature thread locking compound to threads on two included mounting bolts
before installation.
STEP 3:
Attach clamp to cylinder head by using
unused factory holes as shown.
STEP 4:
Mounting bolts
Tighten clamp mounting bolts through the two unthreaded holes on clamp to a torque of 30-35 lbs-ft
(40-47 N-m).
STEP 5:
Apply high temperature thread locking compound to threads on clamping bolt, install through threaded
hole in clamp. Tighten only until the exhaust seals up. The clamping bolt should contact the manifold
flange, offset from the bolt mounting hole. Tighten to 35 lbs-ft (47 N-m).
STEP 6:
Check for any exhaust leaks. If leaks are present, continue tightening until the leaks disappear without
exceeding 40 lbs-ft (54 N-m).
