CHARGING THE ELECTRIC ZERO TURN MOWER
When battery charge becomes low, the mower will go into Limp-
Home mode and will permit the mower to travel a maximum
distance of 0.6 miles back to the battery-charging area. The blades
are automatically switched into low rotation speed without grass
cutting to save the battery charge.
WARNING: Do not attempt to drive across roads or railways
when battery charge level is low.
There are two ways to charge the mower:
◾
Remove the batteries from the mower and charge the batteries
separately with EGO standard charger or rapid chargers.
Please follow the instructions in the Operators' Manual for the
EGO standard charger or rapid chargers.
◾
EGO battery charger CHV1600/CHV1600-FC is available for charging the EGO electric zero turn mower directly while
the batteries are installed in the mower.
NOTICE: There are individual manuals for EGO batteries and chargers. Save the instructions - The manuals contain
important safety and operating instructions for the battery and charger.
DO NOT attempt to charge the batteries or the mower with a charger not designed for use with this product.
Charging the Batteries via Charging Port
The battery charging port is located on the left housing of the mower, next to the storage box (Fig. 21). To charge the
battery,

Stop the mower and remove the safety key; make sure that the mower comes to a complete stop.
◾
Lift the dust cap from the battery charging port on the mower and connect the CHV1600/CHV1600-FC charger plug
into the port (Fig. 22).
NOTICE: Plug will only fit one way into the port. Make sure it is properly aligned before inserting.
◾
Plug the other end of the charger into a 120V household outlet (Fig. 22).

The charger will start to charge the batteries. After the batteries are full charged, as indicated on the LCD screen,
disconnect the charger plug from the wall outlet and remove the charger plug from the port.

Cover the charger port with the dust cap and begin operating the mower. Please refer to the charger manual for
detailed instructions. Read and understand all its safety warning and instructions. Failure to follow them may result
in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
WARNING: Do not smoke while charging the mower with the batteries installed.
WARNING: The mower should be charged under a covered area out of the rain or indoors.
