The product is used to display the indoor and outdoor temperature and the time of day. An alarm
function is also integrated.
The measured data of the outdoor sensor are transmitted to the base station via wireless radio
connection.
The product is battery-operated.
Any use other than described above may damage the product, there may also be other dangers.
Read these operating instructions completely and carefully as they contain very important infor-
mation about installation, operation and handling. Always observe the safety instructions and all

-
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for safety
and approval reasons (CE). Never open/dismantle it (except as described in these operating for
inserting/replacing the batteries).
-
Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the outdoor sensor emits
only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-supporting sys-
tems. The same may also apply to other areas.
-
The manufacturer does not accept any responsibility for incorrect displays, measurements or
weather forecasts or the consequences which might arise from this.
-
The product is intended for private use and not suited for medical purposes or informing the
public.
-
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. The product contains
small parts, glass (display) and batteries. Position the product so it is out of the reach of chil-
dren.
-
The base station is only suitable for dry, enclosed indoor areas. Do not expose the base station
to direct sunlight, strong heat, cold, humidity or moisture; otherwise it may be damaged.
-
The outdoor sensor is suitable for use in outdoor areas. It must not be used in or under water,
this will destroy it.
-
Do not leave the packaging materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for
children.
-
If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), condensation
may develop. This could damage the product. Wait until the product has reached room tem-
perature before using it. This may take several hours.
-
Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.

-
Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.
-
Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay attention
to plus/+ and minus/-).
-
Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk of them being swallowed
by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
-
Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin can cause acid
burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.
-
Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects
or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Thus, store
batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
-
Ensure that batteries/rechargeable batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or thrown
into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
-
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Charge only
rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
-
If not used for a long period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted batteries/recharge-
able batteries. Old batteries/rechargeable batteries can leak and cause damages on the prod-
uct; loss of guarantee/warranty!
-
Always exchange the entire set of batteries/rechargeable batteries, only use batteries/re-
chargeable batteries of the same type and by the same manufacturer with the same charge
status (do not mix full with semi-full or empty batteries/rechargeable batteries).
-
Never mix batteries with rechargeable batteries. Use either batteries or rechargeable batter-
ies.
-
For the environmentally responsible disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please
read the chapter "Disposal".

Operating the base station and the outdoor sensor with rechargeable batteries is pos-
sible. However, the operating time and the display contrast are reduced by the lower
voltage (battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V). Rechargeable batteries are very
sensitive to cold, therefore, the service life of the outdoor sensor decreases further dur-
ing the winter.
We recommend therefore to operate both, the base station and the outdoor sensor with
high-quality alkaline batteries to ensure long and reliable operation.
Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor by sliding its cover off down-
wards.
Set the transmission channel (1, 2 or 3) using the sliding switch (21). If you are using only the
single outdoor sensor enclosed, select channel 1.
If you have more than one outdoor sensor (up to 3 can be registered on the base station), each
outdoor sensor must be set to a different channel.
Insert two batteries of type AA/Mignon with correct polarity into the battery compartment
(22) (observe positive/+ and negative/-).
Briefly press the button "RESET" (19).
Close the battery compartment again.
With each transmission step of the outdoor sensor, the red LED (18) on the front side of
the outdoor sensor flashes briefly.
