12.2. ELECTRICAL WIRING CONNECTION FOR OUTDOOR UNIT
The electrical wiring connection for the outdoor unit is shown below.
1. Connect the power supply wires to L1, L2, L3 and N (for 380-415V/50Hz) for the three phase power source on the terminal board
and ground wires to the terminals in the electrical control box.
2. Connect the wires between the outdoor and indoor units to terminals 1 and 2 on the terminal board.
3. Do not lead wires in front of the fixing screw of the service panel. If done, the screw can not be removed.
<RAS-8~10HRNME-AF>
Do not use a solderless
terminal when a single
wire is used.
If used it causes
abnormal heating at the
caulking portion of the
terminal. If a single wire
is used connect the wire
direct as shown in the
figure.
4. In case that the power source is 415V, change connector of
the ttransformer in the outdoor unit electrical box.
5. Attach the ring core (Accessory)
Insert the power source cable and the earth cable into the
ring core 2 turns as shown below.
Fix the cables by using the band (accessory)
CAUTION :
Fix the operation shielded wires between the indoor and
outdoor unit with a cord band in only one point. Shielded
wires must be connected to the earth of Indoor unit only as
shown in the figure.
12.2.1. SETTING OF DIP SWITCHES FOR OUTDOOR UNIT
Quantity and Position of Dip Switches
The PCB in the outdoor unit is operated with 7 types of dip
switches and 3 types of push switch.
Position of DIP switches:

Wiring method with clamp
1. Insert the wires by into the
cord clamp and clamp them as
shown in the figure.
2. Perform wiring so that
wires do not touch the
compressor,
refrigerant pipes or
edge of the covers.
Make a loop of the wires so that
disconnecting the wirings for
replacing parts is not required.
CAUTION :
When using conduit, do NOT lead it in the
outdoor unit. If the conduit wiring touches
the compressor and refrigerant cycle in
Rubber bush
the outdoor unit, it may
(Accessory)
cause to damage them.

Press the metal band
by pinchers, after
inserting the shielded
wire to metal band.
NOTE:
The mark "¡" indicates position of dips switches. Figures
show setting before shipment or after selection.
By using DSW4, 7 or 8 the unit is started or stopped after
10 to 20 seconds after the switch is operated.
CAUTION :
Before setting dips switches, firstly turn off power source
and set the position of the dips switches. If the switches
are set without turning off the power source, the contents
of the setting are invalid
